Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who leaped a fence and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the individual from Australia pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade flanked by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed includes clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more comment on Instagram.

Some attendees also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others requested digital services to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a dual version of the well-known stage show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two very different witches.

The production itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a light pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, winning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
